About Us

• In an effort to support literacy coaches in their various roles within K-12 schools, the Florida Literacy Coaches Association was formed in 2006.

• The association was created through a partnership between a select group of literacy coaches from around the state and the Just Read, Florida! office.

• The mission of the Florida Literacy Coaches Association is as follows: “Uniting literacy coaches to support and advocate for the literacy needs of all stakeholders in schools across Florida.”

• Membership is open to any individual who shares our mission and is employed by a school district or school, both private and public, and is actively engaged in supporting literacy coaches, teachers, and the improvement of students’ literacy skills.
